12-year-old Jessa Salvador is battling leukemia for the second time.
One of the toughest things besides the chemo and side effects is that I don’t get to go to school, said Jessa.
On Monday evening, she got a chance to come back to the classroom, where she gave a presentation about her experience with leukemia to a class of CSU freshman honors students.
About 70% of people in need of a bone marrow transplant do not have a donor-match within their family. Jessa is one of this 70%. While she is currently not seeking a bone marrow treatment, this may become a possibility in the future.
