More and more people are deciding to eat organically. But is it worth the cost for consumers to have fewer pesticides and growth hormones in our food? According to Addy Elliott, a CSU professor in the soil sciences, growing organically can be very beneficial for the soil that we use. She also says that organic foods have not been shown to have higher nutritional content, only fewer pesticides.
