The number one rebounding team in the nation got beat on the glass and on the scoreboard tonight as the No. 22  Colorado State Rams fell on the road to the UNLV Rebels 61-59 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
UNLV outrebounded CSU 36-28, including a huge offensive board and tip-in by Bryce Dejean-Jones with a minute to go that tied the game at 59 before Anthony Marshall hit the game winning jumper with seven seconds remaining.
The Rams once again dug themselves into a huge first half hole falling behing 32-21 at halftime, but clawed their way back in it by outscoring the Rebels 19-8 through the first seven minutes of the second half tying the game at 40.
Dorian Green gave the Rams a lead late by hitting two clutch free throws with just under two minutes to play to give them a 59-57 lead before Dejean-Jones and Marshall stole the show at the end.
The Rebels missed some free throws late, but the Rams could not take full advantage, as Dorian Green and Daniel Bejarano both missed three pointers with under a minute to play.
The loss drops the Rams conference record to 8-3 and puts them full game behind the conference leaders New Mexico, who they will host on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Moby Arena in Fort Collins, Colo. The tip for that game is set for 2 p.m. MT.
