With Old Town Fort Collins being a college town, it is no wonder that bars and restaurants must be aware of underage drinking. But leaving the city with almost $19,000 in fines, who knew this was such a large issue?
Old town is known on campus for the bars and nightly activities  In the past year, multiple bars and restaurants have been fined and temporarilly shut down for srving minors and other liquor violations.
While majority of the bars in Fort Collins have had no problem in serving alcohol nearly 20 establishments were cited for violations. These inclue the Rio Grande, the recently close Armadillo and a popular bar Wall Street.
According to the year-end report from the City’s Liquor Licensing Authority, fines from the past year have significantly increased. Reporting for CTV, I’m Makenzie O’Keefe.
