The CSU Governing Board voted unanimously to move forward with the on-campus stadium project.
However, this approval does not mean a new football stadium will appear on campus in the next couple of years. Â The board instead advised President Tony Frank:
– To embark on fundraising efforts to raise at least have of the proposed $246 million cost.
– Go forward with the program development program and add the stadium to the campus master plan
– Submit a financial proposal to the governing board
– Work with community to minimize impact, should the stadium go up
If Frank hits this target within the two years, Frank is to update the board.
