The Colorado State volleyball team’s 2011 NCAA tournament ended Friday as the Rams lost 3-1 to Hawaii on the Rainbow Wahine’s home floor in the second round.

Senior outside hitter Katelyn Steffan had four kills in the first set as CSU won 25-22.

Hawaii responded in Set two with 17 kills, winning 25-22 to tie the
match at a set per team.

The Rainbow Wahine continued their roll in the third set 25-16.
Steffan let a serve drop on set point that turned out to be the
set-clinching ace for Hawaii.

CSU’s season ended in Set four when junior middle blocker Breion Paige couldn’t get a free ball over on match point. The Rams lost 25-28 after hitting only .042 in the set to Hawaii’s .350.
