Sean McGowan, an 18-year-old freshman English major at CSU, died Monday morning after being rushed to Poudre Valley Hospital from his room at Summit Hall, a dorm on campus.
Deputy Coroner Investigator for Larimer County Greg Fairman found multiple injection sites on McGowan’s arms indicating he was an “IV drug user.”
“I found paraphernalia and a rock of black tar heroin in his pocket,” Fairman said. “We have all the indicators that he was on drugs.”
Fairman added it could take up to several weeks to get a toxicology report verifying if drugs were involved.
