Public forum on shared food system sponsored by CSU

CSU Extension and the Center for Public Deliberation is sponsoring “On the Tip of Your Fork: A conversation about your Role in Our Shared Food System” today from 7-9 p.m in the Carter Lake Room in the Larimer County Courthouse.

The discussion will be about food choices and aim to broaden community conversation and get information on how food decisions are made.

“Each one of us thinks about food at least three times a day and probably more than 1,000 times per year,” said director of the Center for Public Deliberation Martin Carcasson.

The event will include talks on topics like food choices, availability, cost, preparation, portion size and safety. Thoughts about food influence decisions every time we shop at a grocery store or choose a restaurant according to Carcasson.

The event is free and open to the public. Call CSU’s Center for Public Deliberation at (970) 491-5628.
