After winning the first two sets in the match, the Rams (18-4, 11-1 MW) were determined not to let Wyoming (17-10, 7-5 MW) back into this match.
The Rams made quick work of Wyoming by holding them to a team total -.024 hitting percentage while attacking at .221 as a team.
The Rams were led by senior Katelyn Steffan, who playing in her last career home match, led the team with 14 kills while hitting .231.
CSU was able to neutralize Wyoming’s leader in kills on the season, Jodi Purdy, holding her to only 3 kills on a -.090 hitting percentage on the night.
Tense moments occurred in the third and final set, as Wyoming made run against the Rams like they did back in October when they upset the Rams.
Wyoming fought to get the score to 20-22, but after a timeout by CSU coach Tom Hilbert, the Rams were able to close out the match, winning the set 25-21.
