The CSU men’s basketball team opened its exhibition season Tuesday night with an emphatic 97-82 win over Colorado State-Pueblo.

The Rams led 46-36 at halftime after shooting 62 percent for the half.

CSU was led in the half by senior forward Will Bell. Bell, who has been dealing with a knee injury, recorded 17 points on six of six shooting on the half.

He also had three rebounds in 13 minutes of action, all in the first half.

CSU really hit the gas offensively in the second half behind the play of freshman guard Cody Mann.

Mann scored 10 quick points to start the half, the first of his college career.

Starting guard Wes Eikmeier finished the game with 24 points on 6-13 shooting on three pointers.

The Rams finished with five players with double-digits in scoring.
