After the Associated students of CSU sustainability coordinator position was officially split into two positions on Sept. 30, former assistant to the sustainability coordinator, Seth Danner has been named the new sustainability coordinator effective Oct. 14, according to ASCSU president Eric Berlinberg.

Audrey Purdue, the former sustainability coordinator was ratified into the new health coordinator position on Oct. 12. Her original position as the sustainability coordinator, part of an ASCSU initiative to contribute to the university’s goals of becoming a green university, was split into two individual positions and departments.

“The position just feels natural to be split. One person should really just be focusing on the health component and the other on the sustainability component,” Purdue said in an article in a Sept. 28 story in the Collegian.

Danner has been involved in ASCSU for multiple years and most recently served as the sustainability coordinator for the Anderson/Babos administration during 2010-2011.

“Seth has strong ties to different sustainability groups on campus and will be a fabulous addition to the ASCSU cabinet team,” Berlinberg said.
