Starting middle linebacker James Skelton and reserve defensive lineman Zach Tiedgen have been suspended for Saturday’s game against Northern Colorado.
The two players were cited at a pool party on Aug. 27. Skelton was charged with third-degree assault which was later reduced to harassment.
Tiedgan was charged with disorderly conduct.
Coach Steve Fairchild released the following statement Friday morning.
â€œBased on all the information weâ€™ve been able to gather to date, Iâ€™m suspending James Skelton and Zach Tiedgen from tomorrowâ€™s game for their role in the Aug. 27 incident.â€
The players were unavailable to comment. The team makes players unavailable to media on Friday’s during game weeks.
CSU plays UNC Saturday at noon.
