Moving out of the dorms?

A workshop is being held Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in LSC room 214 to help students in the transition to off-campus housing.

Representatives from Student Legal Services, the Code Compliance, Financial Aid at CSU, Off-Campus Life and the Neighborhood Services for the City of Fort Collins will be made available to address any concerns students have.

The workshop helps students with the rental process, tenant’s rights, city codes and ordinances and parties among other topics.

The event is free, but students must register at the Off-Campus Life website ocl.colostate.edu by March 9.

Man injured in house fire

One man and a cat were injured in a house fire at 4906 Deer Trail, a residence west of Horsetooth Reservoir.

By the time firefighters arrived, the man was found injured at the end of his driveway. He was treated at the scene.

The fire was believed to be accidental and started in the basement of the home. Firefighters found 3 to 5 inches of fuel oil and water. A PFA Hazardous Materials unit determined that the spill was not a danger to anyone outside of the building.

Firefighters were decontaminated at the scene.
