Dear Ram Fans:

I hope you read the article in the Denver Post about the San Diego State game and the energy in Moby Arena. The sportswriter called it “Cameron Indoor West.” Considering Duke Basketball has one of the best home courts in the country, that’s pretty high praise for every Ram fan who packed Moby and made that place rock!

We love your energy and enthusiasm –– standing up, cheering, jumping up and down, and being loud and being proud. That’s what Ram Basketball is all about. It’s called Moby Mania. Catch it and keep it, baby. As we broke from a timeout late in the game, the sight of our students and fans jumping in unison and cheering was amazing. It gave me chills. You were so loud, and so into the game. That is the way college basketball is supposed to be. I heard about the students who had their tickets in their hands and lined up four hours before the game so they could be the first through the door. That’s Ram pride!

You have truly given us a home-court advantage, thank you. We need you back. Saturday night, we’re facing New Mexico in our annual Orange Out game. Be loud, be proud, and be there. Pick up your ticket in advance, and let’s keep Moby rockin’!

P.S. …  I’ll buy a slice of pizza for the first 500 students through the door. You’ll probably get stuck with a coupon, but food quality is important to me when it comes to pizza.
