KCSU returns after brief hiatus
At 3 p.m. Thursday, 90.5 KCSU was back on the air after being broadcast by an automated playlist since Dec. 29, 2010.
During this time period the student-run radio station was updating equipment and switching from an analog to a digital format.
The updates were purchased using $80,000 from CSU.
This weekend will be used for the station to test new equipment, said Station Manager Dylan Wray. He added that programming is expected to start on Monday.
Former Surfside 7 owner arrested
Larimer county sheriff’s deputies arrested John Trujillo Wednesday after he was accused of repeatedly having sex with a girl possibly as young as 13, the Coloradoan reported.
The Former Surfside 7 owner was also accused of giving her cocaine, heroin and marijuana.
On Friday Trujillo will have his first court appearance for possible charges of sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The exact age of the girl –– whose identity has been withheld by the courts –– is unsure, but the relationship began around 2006 when she was 13, 14 or 16, investigators said.
