The Larimer County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the CSU student who died Friday to be sophomore Eric Spry.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, the coroner’s office said, so the cause and manner of death have yet to be determined. Foul play is not suspected, and CSU spokesman Brad Bohlander said there is no indication Spry had meningitis or meningococcal disease.
Spry, a health and exercise science major, was carried out of Braiden Hall on a gurney with a breathing apparatus after police officers, including a detective and paramedics, entered his room on Braiden’s southwest second floor –– the Key Service Community –– at about 1 p.m. on Friday. He was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital by ambulance where he later died.
