CSU Poinsettia sale going on now

The CSU Poinsettia sale began yesterday, and will run until Dec. 17, for anyone who wants to buy a red, pink or white flower for the holidays.

The six-inch poinsettias are grown by CSU floriculture students and are on sale in a six-inch pot for $7.50, a lower price than many stores offer, according to the CSU press release.

The flowers are available at the P.E.R.C. Greenhouses at 630 W. Lake St from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m Monday through Friday until Dec. 17th.

Pearl Harbor anniversary yesterday

By order of the governor, flags flew at half mast yesterday to commemorate Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The flags flew at half mast from sunrise to sunset.

The day recognizes the sacrifice of more than 2,000 military personnel who were killed during the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, drawing the United States into World War 2.
