Wizard’s Party at Best Western Tonight

Individuals who want to learn to do things like bend spoons as easily as noodles with their hands can head to the Best Western University Inn across from on College Ave. tonight.

Rikka Zimmerman, an Access Consciousness facilitator from Calif., will help facilitate the “Wizard’s Party” from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The event is free, but the event coordinator suggests participants donate $20 to pay for Zimmerman’s time.

Flags lowered to half-mast today to honor fallen soldiers

On the governor’s order, all flags on state and federal buildings will be lowered to half-mast today to honor two fallen Army soldiers from Colorado.

Sgt. Aaron B. Cruttenden, 25, and Spc. Dale J. Kridlo, 33, were killed in action in Afghanistan on Nov. 7 when their dismounted patrol was hit with small arms fire.

Sgt. Cruttenden’s funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in Hotchkiss. Spc. Kridlo’s funeral is also today in Pittstown, Penn. Spc. Kirdlo’s wife and daughters live in Fort Collins.
