State Forest Service taking applications for seedling sales

The Colorado State Forest Service, CSFS, is now taking applications from community members to own some of its seedlings.
Applicants must own two or more acres of land to qualify for receiving these seedlings, which come in 40 different varieties; he or she must also have an interest in “conservation goals,” according to a press release. These goals range from “creating natural windbreaks” to helping replenish forests harmed by wildfire.

Seedling trees and shrubs will be available for pickup from the CSFS Fort Collins nursery. For more information, visit or call the CSFS nursery at 970-491-8429.

Workshop focuses on helping students manage time

Do you have a difficult time fitting everything –– homework, studying, relaxing, going out and work –– into your schedule? Today, The Institute for Learning and Teaching, TILT, is hosting a workshop to help students figure out how to balance a schedule.

With a focus on how to prioritize and keep from becoming overwhelmed by responsibilities, the TILT workshop will be held in its namesake building at 4 p.m. in Room 105.
