CSU police arrested Robert Gildea at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday for allegedly sending threats via text message to a student. He also has an outstanding warrant with Fort Collins Police Services.
Gildea allegedly specified threats involving the Morgan Library, but the facility remained open for its regular hours. CSU Police Department monitored the area earlier in the night to watch for Gildea.
He is not a CSU student and does not live on campus, according to the CSU public safety alert. Charges against the suspect were still pending at the time of print.
CSUPD investigated the case after deeming the threats to be serious enough to pursue.
No other details have been revealed at this time, but campus has been declared clear and there are no other threats to students or buildings.
