CSU Professor named public relations teacher of the year
CSU professor Kirk Hallahan was awarded the Public Relations Society of America’s 2010 Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award.
Hallahan, who teaches in CSU’s technical journalism department, received the award at the PRSA 2010 International Conference in Washington, D.C. last week.
According to a press release, the award honors a PRSA member who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of public relations education through college or university teaching.
With 21,000 professional members and 10,000 student members, PRSA is the world’s largest public relations organization. Hallahan has been an accredited member since 1978.
He is the adviser to the Public Relations Student Society of America at CSU.
