Former professor, administrator dies

Last Thursday retired CSU history professor and administrator Harry Rosenberg died in Poudre Valley Hospital after a long battle with illness.

A memorial service for Rosenberg will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 531 S. College Ave. in Fort Collins today at 2 p.m.

Honor society holding parking permit drawing

CSU’s senior honor society Mortar Board is holding a drawing for a CSU 2010-2011 parking permit to provide funds to the Poudre School District to buy school supplies for students who need financial help.

Students, faculty and staff must purchase a ticket for $3 to enter the drawing. Mortar Board members will be selling tickets at the Flea Market in the Lory Student Center on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.

The winner will be contacted the following week and will be hooked up with Parking Services to determine which permit fits the winner’s housing status.

Behavioral Sciences Building grand opening Wednesday

CSU will hold the grand opening for the $45 million, student-funded Behavioral Sciences Building Wednesday.

The facility houses laboratories for the Department of Psychology and the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in its more than 92,000-square-foot premises. It also features a 278-seat auditorium with cinema-quality surround sound and projection equipment classrooms equipped with high-definition and 3-D projection and atriums up to 73-feet high.

The grand opening takes place after President Tony Frank’s Fall Address. A reception celebrating the new building will held be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tours begin at 1 p.m. followed by remarks at 2 p.m.
