Tuesday, the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame named Klint Kubiak and Josh Gabler to their Hampshire Honor Society.
The Hampshire Honor Society recognizes players who are graduating seniors that maintained a 3.2 GPA, completed all the NCAA requirements to graduate and either starter or played a significant role for one’s team in his final season. It’s part of the NFF’s program to promote academic and athletic success.
Kubiak, a safety, will be trying out with the Washington Redskins this weekend and graduated in December with a 3.39 overall GPA. He played in six games with the Rams in 2009, before being sidelined with an injury for the second half of the season, recording 48 tackles and an interception.
Gabler, also a safety, saw the field in 11 of CSU’s 12 games last season, recording four tackles, three of which were solo. He graduated in December with a 3.68 GPA and a degree in computer engineering.
