College football no longer has an offseason.

The spring is a time for new players to prove themselves and old players to knock off the rust from the previous year.

Within the team lies a secret player on the roster whose jersey ranges from body paint in their team’s colors to a simple T-shirt. This player stands behind the team and weathers every storm, whether the team is up or down. This player is the student body of CSU.

It is important that we come together regardless of the time of year and work together to propel our team into the future of college football. Hard-hitting spring scrimmages and large student crowds of support are the essence of CSU. Having the support of the student body offers the team something with which players can be further accountable, someone in addition to family and friends.

By placing your trust in our team and coming out this Saturday, you will make an investment in the future of CSU athletics. The game will be held at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium, and events will begin with a complimentary breakfast (8:30 to 10:15 a.m.) followed by situational scrimmages, leading right into the Green vs. Gold game at about 11:30 a.m.

Please come out and get a preview of the 2010 CSU Rams, and start your quest in becoming an essential element to the success of our season.

Go Rams.
