It’s been a long semester, CSU.
Courses and professors are spewing out tests, quizzes, essays, papers and other forms of academic punishment for all our young minds.
And yeah, spring break was just a few weeks back, but who says we can’t just take an itsy-bitsy break?
Well, the perfect storm is abrewin’ this weekend in the form of music.
First, Friday and Saturday, the Fort Collins Music Experiment will flood the streets of Old Town and beyond.
The annual music festival will feature 187 local bands playing across Fort Collins at 22 venues.
And not only is the two-day-long music adventure a good excuse to turn off your brain a little bit, it lends support to local musicians and establishments.
If FoCoMX isn’t epic enough, the Association for Student Activity Programming will present alt-rockers Pepper and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Sunday during the annual Spring Concert.
ASAP spent several months organizing the event to bring students a high-profile musical act, so why not take advantage? If not for the interest in either band, then because it’s your student fees at work.
So if you want to relax a bit before the big run of tests and finals, get involved in some of the great music performances this weekend.
We promise, this cluster of musical awesomeness won’t disappoint.
