After almost 24 hours of deliberation the student government Supreme Court upheld the Elections Committees decision to remove David Ambrose and April Ragland from the 2010 elections.

The court, after hearing from both the committee and defense on behalf of the ticket, decided to uphold the committee’s decision to charge Ambrose and Ragland $1,260 for postage on handbills sent to residence halls.

The charge caused the team to exceed the sanctioned $2,000 spending limit by nearly $1,000. Spending more than the official budget is one of three offenses severe enough to warrant expulsion from the race.
