hank you for publishing the article titled, “Shame on You, FDA,” on Wednesday.

It is no secret that cigarettes are dangerous for your health, which is why I am always shocked at the lawmakers’ agenda to “protect smokers.” If cigarettes were running rampant, stuffing themselves into peoples’ mouths and forcing them to inhale, I’d see the function of those laws. But every single person who smokes knows the risks and deems those risks worth the benefits they receive.

It is not up to the government to decide what is safe for them to do or not do. Smoking is a personal choice and should not be a governmental concern.
