CSU officials announced Saturday night the official beginning of a fundraising campaign they hope will bring in $500 million by 2012.
In a press release, President Tony Frank said The Campaign for Colorado State University had already raised half of the $500 million goal since the silent phase of the operation began in 2005.
According to the release, it is the first comprehensive fundraising campaign undertaken in CSU history, and the raised money will be used to support key university priorities including scholarships, improved facilities, endowed faculty and advancing CSU’s teaching, research and outreach programs.
“This is a University community that deserves support, and The Campaign for Colorado State University will help provide the solid, reliable resource base that will help sustain and advance this institution for generations to come,” Frank said in the release.
