Yays and Nays

Yay | to CSU football and volleyball for their victories this weekend. You make us all proud to be Rams.

Nay | to presidential and vice presidential candidates who can’t pronounce the word “nuclear.” You make our entire nation look like it flunked out of fifth-grade English.

Yay | to today’s election registration deadline. As much as we love the democratic process, the significant decline in the number of clipboard toting volunteers on campus will be heaven.

Nay | to the proposed use of student fees for construction projects. Thank goodness students don’t have anything else to pay for, like an education.

Yay | to the constructive debate on the Plaza last week — a product of the pro-life group Justice for All’s abortion exhibit. Sure, there was opposition, but if it gets people talking, we at the Collegian have no beef.

yay | to the CSU System Board of Governor’s decision to follow Larimer County’s lead and offer benefits to same-sex couples. If only the rest of the state could jump on board.
