Tonight, candidates running for the presidency and vice presidency of the Associated Students of CSU will have the opportunity to address their platforms and answer questions from students in a debate hosted by CTV.
The debate takes place at the Lory Student Center Theater at 7 p.m., and will last an hour long.
Moderating the event will be Karolyn Pearson, CTV news director.
Pearson said the debate would focus on four main topics: transparency in student fee increases, plans for going green on campus, increases in student programming, and the athletic fee increase.
Pearson said the event, hich is an annual collaborative effort between ASCSU and CTV, was important for students to pay attention to.
“I think its’ important for students to see candidate platforms in a debate format,” Pearson said.
Following discussion on the general issues, student questions will then be submitted to the candidates.
Only four questions will be read, so Pearson suggests those looking to submit a question come early to the event.
