Women’s golf tied for 10th
The CSU women’s golf team is in a tie for 10th place after the first day of the Ron Moore Invitational at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Denver.
The Rams were in ninth-place after round one on Monday but slipped a spot midway through round two before the day was cut short because of rainstorms.
Sophomore Casey Claussen leads the Rams at five-over par for the tournament, good for 18th place. Claussen shot a two-over 74 in round one and is four-over in her second round with four holes left to play.
Junior Stefanie Ferguson shot a six-over 78 in round one and is seven-over par for the tournament with three holes left to play in her second round.
Sophomore Natalie Stone and freshman Kayley Kempton are both 10-over for the tournament.
The Rams are four strokes behind ninth-place Mississippi and 15 strokes behind tournament-leading Baylor.
The women will finish the remaining two to five holes Tuesday morning before playing the third and final round.
