Collegian Staff Report

The CSU women’s basketball team announced last Friday that Kristen Holt will join the program as an assistant coach.

Holt comes most recently from Wichita State, where she coached the team’s guards the past four years. Holt will serve a similar role with the Rams, as well as overseeing the team’s recruiting.

“Kristen will be a tremendous asset to the Rams,” Warden said in a statement. “She is as impressive as a recruiter and floor coach as she is personally. I truly look forward to working with Kristen and look for great things from her.”

Holt is the second assistant in the past two weeks hired by coach Jen Warden. Dick Lien was also added as an assistant earlier this month.

Holt will be entering her 13th season as a Division I women’s basketball coach.

Before Wichita State, Holt coached at Radford University in Radford, Va., where she earned Big South Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2002.

The Lima, Ohio, native will begin work on Sept. 4.
