Party Snacks

Cat litter

Fill a cat litter pan with Raisinets or this recipe:

1 box of Grape nuts

1 bag of unwrapped tootsie rolls

1 box of powdered sugar

Mix and serve with (unused) cat litter scoop

Pumpkin Rice Krispie treats

1/4 cup margarine or butter

1 pack 10 ounce mini marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies

Melt butter in large deep pan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add in yellow and red food coloring to make orange. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies and stir until they are well coated. Form into balls and let cool.

Decorate with black frosting to create jack-o-lantern faces.

3 ounces lemon gelatin

1 cup hot water

1/2 cup miniature marshmallows

1 cup pineapple juice

8 ounces cream cheese

1 cup mayonnaise

Dissolve lemon gelatin in 1 cup of water in double boiler, add marshmallows and stir to melt. Remove from heat. Add pineapple juice and cream cheese. Beat until well blended. Cool slightly. Fold in mayo. If you have round ice cube trays, pour the mixture in the molds and leave to set in the fridge. Otherwise pour into a dish and chill until firm enough for scooping into eyeballs. Create round eyeballs. To decorate, use liquid food coloring and an old detail paintbrush.
