It is still unknown whether or not CSU basketball recruit Tyler Brandon Smith will be suiting up for the Rams this upcoming season. Smith was cited last month for marijuana possession and three different traffic violations while driving his friend Denver Nugget Carmelo Anthony’s car.
CSU sports information director Gary Ozzello says no decision has been made at this time and no date has been set with CSU’s judicial board.
Smith was enrolled in one class for the summer semester at CSU, which he completed. He is expected to become a full-time student at the beginning of the fall semester.
Smith signed his letter of intent to play with the Rams on April 13. He had played two seasons with Northeastern Junior College before coming to CSU.
