Hundreds of the nation's best collegiate athletes will gather in Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday where they will compete in the Indoor Track & Field NCAA Championships.
Thousands of track & field athletes from around the country train year-round for the opportunity to win a championship, but only the best earn the opportunity to make that training pay off.
Senior Jill McCormick and junior Janay DeLoach will represent the best of CSU. Both are coming off victories in the Mountain West Conference Championships, where McCormick won the weight throw and DeLoach won the long jump and took second in the 60-meter dash.
McCormick will compete in the weight throw where she is currently ranked 11th in the nation. Ranked 16th in the country, DeLoach will compete for a championship in the 60-meter dash, an event in which she holds the school record. She also holds school records in the long jump and the 55-meter dash.
