The CSU women's tennis team had a rough weekend losing both matches to No. 4 and 3 Iowa and Minnesota, respectively.
During the first game of the weekend against Iowa, CSU struggled early and often in doubles, losing all of their matches.
Emily Kirchem scored CSU's lone point en route to a 6-1 loss to Iowa.
Things continued to go wrong for the Rams as they started the next day against Minnesota, struggling in all their doubles matches.
The singles matches showed positive results as Kirchem was able to steal a victory. After falling behind early against Nichela Reddy and losing her first set,
Kirchem came back in set two and went on to win.
CSU's Anne Andersen took an early lead against Minnesota's Mariana Spilca, taking the first set. Spilca responded with a comeback win in the second set and a decisive 6-1 victory in the third. Andersen's loss to Spilca proved to be an important one as CSU went on to lose to Minnesota 4-3.
CSU will not be in action again until Feb. 17 when they face UTEP.
