Man dies after shooting

A man was killed when shots were fired in the 2200 block of West Stuart St. at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night, according to Fort Collins Police Services spokeswoman Rita Davis. The suicidal man, who was in his 50s, had a handgun, police said. The man was on his balcony and went into his backyard, where shots were fired, police reported. The man was pronounced dead at Poudre Valley Hospital. It was unclear Tuesday night who fired the shots.
