If you haven't noticed, Moby Madness has been heating up. The men's and women's basketball teams are a combined 7-1.
The men are 5-0 this season, which is their best start since the 2001 season. But it's not like they've been playing push-over teams. They beat Big 12 opponent and in-state rival Colorado as well as an SEC team in Auburn. This is incredible considering the Rams were predicted to finish the year in eighth place (out of nine teams) in the conference. That doesn't look like a good prediction anymore. The roster sports the returning Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year in Jason Smith, along with a ton of other talent.
The women are led by a new coach, Jen Warden, and have stars in Melissa Dennett, and Vanessa Espinoza. They play exciting games every year, with this year's highlight against Duke.
The fans at sporting events this year have been incredible. The attendance and energy has been the best in years. We encourage everyone to keep it up and even take it up a notch.
Check out what the madness is all about.
The women have a game tonight versus Colorado. If the Rams win, CSU will have completed the Colorado sweep.
The men play host to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) Saturday.
