With the Rocky Mountain Showdown in Boulder less than two weeks away the Rams are stepping up their scouting of the Buffs.
Both the offense and defense worked Tuesday with the scout teams on formations and plays they expect to see from Colorado. The Rams worked for a large portion of the practice on opposite fields with the Buffs' offense and defense.
After coming up one yard short in Boulder last year the Rams worked for most of the practice against the scout team on inside run plays with the larger running backs, though junior Nnamdi Ohaeri rotated in as well.
With the rest of this week and all of next week still left to prepare for CU the Rams still have more time to prepare for the showdown.
Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Matt Rupp returned to full pads Tuesday. Rupp had been sidelined with a hamstring injury. Senior offensive lineman Brandon Alconcel (Knee) and junior wide receiver Dustin Osborn (Collar Bone) were both in pads but were limited in what they could do. Senior Defensive end Terrance Carter (Concussion) was in half pads but is still not cleared to play. Junior Luke Adkins (Knee) sat out of practice.
