While attempting a 360 on his bike in the 2004 Winter Games, Deegan took a nasty 30-foot spill and broke his leg.

This year Brian Deegan certainly redeemed last year's tragedy.

He came out and threw down a no-footed back flip and won gold for the second time in the Moto X event, setting a Winter X Games record. He also won in 2003.

"I don't think many people have come from a broken femur to win again," Deegan said on expn.com

Deegan is a member of the Metal Mulisha, a group of bikers and friends who practice at the Mulisha Compound in California.
