Loveland Police officers arrested Ramon U. Anchondo and Wanda Marie Saiz Wednesday on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
The two were arrested and taken to Larimer County Detention Center after an emergency call was made to medical personnel in Loveland around midnight from Super 8 Motel, 1655 E. Eisenhower #213, according to a press release from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office. After providing medical assistance to the 45-year-old Anchondo, medical personnel alerted the Loveland Police Department and Larimer Country Drug Task Force about the presence of marijuana in the room.
When police arrived, they found 18 pounds of marijuana, which they believe was part of a drug run from New Mexico to Loveland involving up to 100 pounds of the drug. However, police officers were unable to find the remaining marijuana. Police are requesting that if anyone has further information to call the Larimer County Drug Task Force at 416-2560.
