These knights of winter weather are armed with snow shovels instead of lances and ride snowplows instead of steeds. They have come to save the day.

These unsung heroes deserve credit for the snow being cleared away from the places we park, walk and play.

CSU Facilities Management Outdoor Services members have been on campus every day since Sunday to shovel a path for us to get to class. We have these 60 men and women to thank for keeping our feet warm and dry.

Nearly a foot of snow had to be cleared off the acres of campus this week.

These noble servicemen and women deserve our thanks and appreciation for the great work they do.

We all know it's tough to make it to an 8 a.m. class slipping and sliding on the ice rink that is the Z-lot. However, these shining stars braved the cold and weather at 3 a.m. on Sunday, and will continue to do so at 5 a.m. for the rest of the week.

Here's to you, our cold weather saviors. Thanks for all that you do.

P.S. You've earned it, take a break next snowstorm – we're counting on a snow day.
