Madness initiates 2004-05 basketball season
The CSU men’s and women’s basketball teams will kick off their
seasons Saturday night with Pitch Black Madness following the Rams
volleyball game against BYU at Moby Arena.
The event, presented by Mountain Dew, will feature a variety of
activities for fans, including prize drawings and giveaways, as
well as the opportunity to see the basketball teams during the
90-minute session. Several CSU athletic department officials will
also sponsor prize giveaways.
Included in the activities, which are scheduled to start around
9:30 p.m., are several contests for the university students and
public, such as slam-dunk and three-point shooting contests.
Both the men’s and women’s teams open practice for the 2004 to
2005 season this afternoon.
The men’s team will open the season on Nov. 6 against Northern
State in exhibition play. It will then welcome CSU-Pueblo to Moby
on Nov. 11 to end the exhibition season. Both games are at 7
p.m.
The regular season begins Nov. 20 at home against Regis at 7
p.m.
The women will play Western State College at 7 p.m. on Nov. 5 in
Moby to kick off their exhibition season. They open their season at
