William “Taylor” Whitmire, a sophomore psychology major,
remained in critical condition Thursday evening at Poudre Valley
Hospital, according to PVH.
Whitmire was assaulted early Wednesday morning at the Sigma Chi
Fraternity House, 635 S. Shields St., said Rita Davis, a
spokeswoman for Fort Collins Police Services.
A 911 call at 1:18 a.m. reported a fight at the fraternity house
and one injured male.

Despite the hospital report, a release from Sigma Chi chapter
stated that Whitmire to be in stable condition.
A suspect was identified Wednesday, but the name is being
withheld pending an arrest. No further information was available
Thursday, Davis said.
