Join us for free comedy as the MST3K crew ridicules “Daddy-O,”
in which ’50s heartthrob Dick Contino croons some tunes and foils
the evil thugs. Bring your friends for lots of laughs.
CinemaCSU: “The Barbarian Invasions”
7 p.m.
“The Barbarian Invasions” is directed by Denys Arcand and runs
approximately 99 minutes. There will be a second showing following
the first at 9:30 p.m. This film is brought to you by ASAP and
CinemaCSU.
Saturday, Oct. 9
CSU Marching Band Showcase
10 a.m.
Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium
The showcase features dynamic, competitive high school marching
bands from Colorado and Wyoming. The day concludes with a
performance by the 240-member CSU Marching Band at 5:15 p.m.
Tickets are available the day of the competition at the gates for
$6. Children under 6 are free.
Wild Goose Masquerade Ball
8 to 11:30 p.m.
LSC, Main Ballroom
This is the 20th anniversary for the Wild Goose Masquerade Ball.
Dancers in elegant evening clothes will once again swirl around the
hall, levitated by the timeless beauty of Strauss waltzes,
performed in grand style by the 50-piece Mostly Strauss Orchestra
of Denver. Cost is $20 or $25 after Oct. 2 and students receive $5
off. Call CSU Box Office at 491-6444 for tickets.
