Police seek assailant

Fort Collins police are pursuing a man who attempted to assault a female Saturday morning on the 400 block of Mulberry Street.

A 21-year-old woman was walking alone on Mulberry at about 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 when a man approached her and attempted to attack her, according to the police report. A nearby neighbor heard the commotion and scared the suspect off.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s with short hair. The man is described as being about 5 feet 7 inches weighing about 150 to160 pounds and has no facial hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt with a large decal on the front.

The man was last seen driving a 1990s maroon 4-door car. The model is unknown.
