CSU, the eyes of hip-hop are upon you.

On Sunday, the true underground of hip-hop will surface when

soon-to-be legendary group Dilated Peoples hit up the Lory Student

Center Main Ballroom.

Getting ready to release their third album, “Neighborhood

Watch,” on April 6, DJ Babu, Iriscience and Evidence are sure to

drop a beat or two on the CSU Campus.

Colorado acts Black Pegasus, DJ Idiom and Accument will warm up

the crowd.

According to the Association for Student Activities Programming

Concert Chair Milena Pastore, the night is shaping up to be a

promising evening.

“We’ve got a multimedia presentation with both urban images and

live images of the crowd and artists,” she said. “This is going to

be a great element for the show. Hopefully it will help the

students forget that they are on campus so they can just

concentrate on having fun. Plus the music is gonna be bangin’!”

There was a scare late Wednesday that the show might not happen

due to a contracting discrepancy with the group, however Melissa

Pester, the ASAP Executive Director said that all kinks have been

worked out and the show will continue as planned.

Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for non-students and can be

purchased at the Lory Student Center info desk.
