Please consider voting for the “Open Space, Yes” initiative that will be on the Fort Collins city ballot in November.

It is important that we extend the current source of funding that already exists in order to ensure that the Fort Collins of the future not be a solid sea of subdivisions, business parks and asphalt with no open views, wildlife habitat, or separation from the surrounding communities.

Think about it: every new development or road is a permanent loss of natural open beauty that we all enjoy now. Future generations need to have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Northern Colorado, too.

Please remember, this citizen-initiated measure is not a new tax, it is only an extension of the existing tax we already pay. Vote yes to keep the focus on quality of life for current and future generations.
