McKenna Botts, sophomore business finance major, described her personal style as “relaxed” and “bohemian chic.”

On Monday, March 5 she donned a pair of jeans from Rack and Roll Clothing, purchased for about $100.

Botts also wore a $14 coral colored tank top from Target, a $14 light gray sweater from Nordstrom Rack, and a $5 fringed, white-and-coral scarf from Wal-Mart.

“My favorite stores to shop at are Nordstrom Rack and Pink’s in Cherry Creek,” Botts said.

According to Nordstrom.com, “Nordstrom Rack carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com at 50-60% off original Nordstrom prices.”

Pink’s, located in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, “is a unique clothing boutique that offers trendy clothes and accessories at affordable prices,” according to pinksdenver.com.

“California style influences me,” Botts said. “I get inspiration from celebrities, and try to create cool outfits on my own.”

Her vegetarian and environmentally conscious lifestyle also have an influence on her fashion, she said.

Bohemian chic, or “boho-chic,” styles often includes smock tops, paisley patterns, folk-inspired dresses, long skirts, multiple bright colors, and unexpected pattern combinations.

Botts explained that she interprets this style by wearing a lot of scarves and loose, “flowy” shirts.
