Where dreams come true

If you think Walt Disney World is the happiest place on earth, imagine how happy you’d be if you worked there.

A Disney College Program recruiter and campus representatives will make a presentation at CSU Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Lory Student Center’s Grey Rock Room.

For those who end up working in the program, you will receive on-the-job experience in Disney parks and resorts while “expand(ing) your knowledge in a classroom with international students,” according to the university’s official event calendar listing.

Do you want to be a campus idol?

If you have the pipes, and the courage, to sing in front of the student body, here’s your chance to prove yourself.

ASAP is hosting CSU Idol auditions Wednesday from 5 to 10 p.m. in the Lory Student Center, room 211 E. There will be several other audition dates, including March 31 and April 1. The competition’s first round will be held in the Ramskeller on April 5; the second round is on April 12.

In order to audition, ASAP asks that you sign up outside of their office located in the basement of the LSC.

The CSU Idol winner will get the chance to perform at the Crewz Control show in the Lincoln Center.

Take me out to the pink ballpark

The CSU softball team is set to take on the University of Northern Colorado in a seemingly typical home game Wednesday at 4 p.m.

But, while the players and the location will be the same, game attendees will probably notice a little change in uniform –– CSU players will wear pink in an effort to promote cancer awareness at its annual pink game.

According to a Today@ColoradoState report, those in the stands will also receive free cancer awareness wristbands from RamStrength, a local non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for cancer survivors in northern Colorado.

Admission is free.
